David Beckham visited Tacloban City, Philippines on Thursday, Philippine media reported that same day. Reports said that Beckham traveled with heavy security and flew by private plane to Tacloban.
According to reports, the football superstar will be spending his Valentine’s Day in the Philippines. “I will be in the Philippines with Unicef to visit different sites,” Beckham reportedly said.
Beckham is said to be a “goodwill ambassador” for UNICEF. His focus is on meeting the children and families affected by typhoon Haiyan.
Reports said that Beckham stayed more than an hour inside a UNICEF tent where he played with young typhoon survivors.
“Very happy, very happy to visit everybody,” Beckham reportedly said.
